The Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino’s new Okeanos Spa recently opened earlier this month within the historic Rif Fort on the grounds of the property in downtown Willemstad.
The 1,370 sq foot spa offers seven treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and salon. Treatments at Okeanos Spa incorporate tropical ingredients such as mango, pineapple and papaya and massages are available in two cabanas at the resort’s infinity pool and beach club area.
The 19th-century Rif Fort originally was built to protect Curacao from invasion by pirates and other enemies. The landmark is now a designated Unesco World Heritage site and home to the spa as well as the Renaissance Mall, which features 50 boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.
