St. Maarten’s Director of Tourism met with officials of low cost carrier Air Tran, which operates out of Atlanta, Georgia at Routes event.

The fruitful exchange of information between St. Maarten and Air Tran will continue and could facilitate an agreement that would allow the carrier to start service from Atlanta to St. Maarten as early as 2011.
